I wanted to try everything there was to offer, and I wouldn’t forgive myself if I didn’t try the least expensive option. I was pleasantly surprised by this product, despite being the cheaper option Amazon fresh Peruvian coffee stood up to the rest in this list on all bases. This fragrant coffee left a pleasant smooth taste with notes of chocolate and citrus.

Coopers Cask comes very highly recommended in the coffee world for their cold brew specialty coffees, so its only natural to add them to this list, and I’ll tell you it is one of my most favorites. Peru is the second-highest exporter of Fair Trade coffee beans behind Mexico, which means they are very dedicated to their farmer’s quality of life.
Knowing where your coffee is grown is a great step to being more aware of the fairtrade program. No one wants to buy coffee that supports slave labor, so knowing where and how your coffee grows and buying only fair trade products goes a long way to stop the mistreatment of people all over the world. With 110.000 coffee growers in Peru, the export comprises of 60% of their export productions and makes up just 2% of the worlds coffee empire. What is Robusta?
There are two main species of coffee that are sold Coffea Arabica and Coffea Robusta (also known as Canephora). So what’s the difference, and why should I only buy 100% Arabica beans as everyone tells me to? Well let me explain;
Robusta is a species of coffee that is easier to farm less affected by insects, has more caffeine, and is cheaper priced.
Are you confused yet? Why should I buy more expensive beans that are more complex to grow, and that contain less caffeine?
Well. I’m glad you asked! Taste.
Robusta beans aren’t shade-grown, which means they contribute to deforestation, and they have half of the natural sugar and fat as Arabica Beans.
Robusta beans are bitter and burnt tasting and are a filler to cut costs in blend coffee.
Every had a nasty instant coffee? Chances are its 100% Robusta coffee.
If you arent worried about taste or flavor profiles, than Robusta Coffee may be a cheap alternative to higher in gourmet Arabica beans, BUT there are also some lower quality arabica bean coffees that you may want to try instead. If looking to cut costs but still have the quality of an Arabica bean coffee look for coffee companies that buy their beans from lower altitude regions of Peru, these lower altitudes produce slightly more acidic coffee but still offer a complex body with floral and sweet notes.
