Attention all Swifties and Starbucks lovers (SBUX) out there to commemorate Starbucks’ red cup season, Taylor Swift and Starbucks are collaborating to coincide with the release of Taylor’s re-recorded version of her Red album. Yes, you heard that right, and to add to the excitement, the album drops on the same day itself as well.
Fans can enjoy the Taylor Swift Starbucks drink by asking for “Taylor’s Version” or “Taylor’s Latte” on November 12-13.
Made of nonfat milk along with four pumps of caramel syrup, the Grande Caramel Nonfat Latte, or what they refer to as “Taylor’s Latte”, costs around $4.65 to $4.95 and can be enjoyed all year round.
The coffee chain hinted that a collaboration between the two was coming after writing a series of tweets referencing Taylor’s album, song titles, and even lyrics days before the actual launch.
Fans took notice of an Easter egg from the coffee chain’s Twitter account stating “It’s Red Season” with emojis of a coffee, sparkle, scarf, and heart, which was a nod to Swift and her album’s title.
In the series of tweets that followed after, they continued to make references related to Swift while replying to fan inquiries. From there on, Starbucks lovers became excited to know what was going to happen next. Taylor Swift, for one thing, is also known for leaving Easter eggs herself for Swifties to decode.
That said, it was in October 2021 when she took to Instagram to recreate one of her old posts captioning, “Basic autumn lovers RISE”, taking a big sip from a Starbucks cup, and mentioning “pumpkin-flavored stuff” in one of her Instagram videos.
After piecing together the pieces, fans are now delighted with having the singer’s favorite Starbucks drink honored with her name. Who knows how long this collaboration between the two was already in the making maybe the misheard lyrics from Blank Space way back were already a sign.
Whether ordering at participating Starbucks branches or through the drive-thru, Swifties can avail the drink by simply asking for “Taylor’s Latte” or “Taylor’s Version”. However, to order within the Starbucks app, check the details on the Taylor app card.
Quick Fact: Starbucks has also made sending “Taylor’s Latte” or any drink to friends easier with their exclusive Taylor-inspired Starbucks gift cards available online.
Sip your drink while listening to the songs on a loop from Red (Taylor’s Version) on different Starbucks branches. Starbucks has also made a Starbucks x Swift in-store playlist for customers to stream on Spotify.
